Hello, Just picked up a 2000 F4 and have yet to reide it. It's a bit cold and the road conditions are dangerous. Can you fellas share some DOs and Dont's with me in regards to this model? I have owned Ducs in the past and a Vintage MV but never an F4. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the family!
Lovely bikes. The first F4s do run a bit warm, later models got new radiators. Do not over fill the coolant tank or get alarmed if it pushes a bit out. It will probably be happiest with coolant at the low level in the reservoir when cool.
Do NOT over tighten the chain or hub pinch bolts. The rear hub bearings are susceptible to easy damage when the chain is run tight, keep it on the loose side. And torque the pinch bolts to the low end of the spec.
Very reliable bikes and easy to work on.
Service and parts books are available on Donsy's web site.

So show us some photos of your new girl....just make a few posts before you try. Can't add photos when you are a brand new member.

Welcome to the family.

If you had a vintage MV - owning a modern one will be a walk in the park

There's a search facility here, using that will get pretty much any answers you need and failing that post your questions in the Maintenance section & you'll come with what you need in no time.

Cheers

Thumbs up Welcome

Welcome aboard the Forum, Ammo

to "fix" the side stand you need part #800098707, it's on page A01 of the parts manual item #22 (the second one)
