Did you top up the antifreeze at the same time?

Do not fill past the MINIMUM mark.....she'll piss it out until she finds the happy level...almost always at minimum cold.

Heat wrap should not affect coolant temp.

I have heard or had mixed feelings on using heat wrap. Just curious on why you are using it unless it is for a race application.

The right side fairing is starting to warp where it meets the bottom section so I figured I take some heat away

Alexander, follow Ed's advice. Maintain the level of the coolant just at the MINIMUM level mark when cold. Otherwise it will overflow when hot.

If you really think about it heat wrap under a closed fairing is not going to anything. Try some reflective blanket on the inside of the fairing
