cant adjust f4 mirror

hey guys,

i got a new f4 mirror, but everytime i adjust it, it just returns back to it orginal position...

any ideas on how i can adjust?

i assume you are moving the actual mirror GLASS and not the whole mirror itself? If so you could undo the two screws underneath, slide the mirror out and give it a little bit of WD40 or something, could just be dry/stiff. Cant otherwise see a reason for it too play up.

they don't adjust very much, just lift your elbow

i know they dont. but i cant even get it to match the other side. looking thought the left i see my elbow. looking through the right i can see my body.

when i goto adjust it. it moves but does hold in the new pos...?

who needs mirrors you don't need to know where you've been it's where you are going that matters..

If you remove the mirror from the housing and on the reverse, shave/cut down the small plastic 'lugs' (on the outside and top), it'll allow you to push the mirror out and up a bit more. Not a huge amount mind you, but I found it worthwhile.

lets face it, the mirrors are only installed so there is a place for the front turn indicators. They do have a nice view of my elbows though. Lots of cranking the head around.

better option...remove the mirrors and go for a cleaner look with bar-end mirrors...
