Interesting read. The downsizing part didnt sound too good. Maybe thats why its so hard to get parts into the US.

My service guy said that due to MV's shipping costs, they have to place a min of $200 at a time. So if you just need a gasket, you're out of luck. I thought that article was really good tho. Sounds like they may be on the right path

i thought the article was pretty good and understand the racionale behind the cut backs, what i'm finding difficult is that having had a conversation with a local dealer ( not mv) that the two MV dealerships closest to me are actually looking to terminate their contracts and when I put the question to them neither would give a straight answer.

I believe that every dealer should have all the small stuff on the shelf themselves. What kind of dealer has to order in a gasket?
