F4 1000 S, just bought!

Hey you guys,

I am now finally the owner of a F4 1000 S 2006 model! It has been my dream bike since 2000 and finally had the money to buy it! It has 16000 km, it was changed from monopisto into a duo seat and it looks awesome!

First impression is good, however in comparison to my Fireblade 1997, it has a more aggressive seating.

What does struke me negative (which I also read here on the forum) is that it becomes very hot when you drive in the city. Will be between 90 and 102 degrees celcius which you do feel on your legs Any easy improvement available?

In addition, my display did not light up when driving in the dark. Which means I only see the light indicating that my big light is on, but I cant see my speed or rpm Is there a way to switch between daylight and nighttime settings or is my led in the display broken? Any tips?

Isn't the F4 the most beautiful bike you have ever seen?

Congratulations - The silver star wheels always look the business.

I don't think that temperature is out of the ordinary. There are a couple of things you can do - search here and there are loads of threads on that subject.

Check that the complete conversion has been done, CAG and a couple of others are experts on what needs to be changed.

I think that your display is defective, again CAG may be able to help you with bits.

Enjoy the position.

There are a couple of very small bulbs in the tacho which you can replace for $1.00 each.

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast!!

thanx guys! Am really to finally be a proud owner of the most beautiful bike in the world!

The thermal problem should be ok to solve. Otherwise, I might ask MV directly what might be a good solution (A good friend of the father of one of my colleagues is a good friend of Castiglioni himself )

Isn't the F4 the most beautiful bike you have ever seen?
