Thread knob on the rear shock

There's a threaded screw or cap on the rear shock. Is that screw suppose to be tight?

Okay. Here's what I'm referring too. Is that screw suppose to be tight? Mine was loose.

Yes it should be tight as not to fall off. It is a valve stem cap that protects the valve stem underneath.

The shock is filled with nitrogen via that valve stem.

Thanks Adam. Sorry I was a bit inarticulate about the cap.
