Took the F4 into the canyons today, Fell in love with her all over again!

It had been a while since I had hit the canyons, figured I would take the F4 out today to break in the tires/engine and brakes. And I wanted to see what difference the upgrades made. So I set the sag and tunned the suspension a bit and went on my way.

First thought, holy shit! she is a totally new machine. I couldnt belive how easy it is to flick the bike now, I really didnt think the lighter wheels would make that big of a difference, boy was I was wrong. The new forks worked very well, as did the Power Pure tires! The larger rotors and Brembo calipers hammer the bike to a standstill with no effort! That part Im still getting used to.

The new mods/upgrades have given me a whole new level of confidence in the bike. Like I said, in love all over again!

Since the engine overhaul, the bike seems to have much better throttle response, and a whole lot of power that wasnt there before. I have now put close to 400 miles on her since I got her back from the dealer. Another 100-200 miles and Ill do the "first" service.

Here are some pics from todays ride. This was the route I took,

Mullholand Hwy to Stunt Rd, to Piupa to the Rock Store, to Latigo, then the same way back home.

Good to hear Joe!
Will you be adding some customized touches of blue to the new wheels?

I did put reflective rim stripes on it at first, but it looked ugly when the light hit it so I took it off. I might put regular blue rim stripes on it at a later time. I painted the rear wheel nut blue and it adds a nice touch to the rear wheel. I dont think Im going to paint anything on the wheel itself since it has a 2 stage (silver/clear) powdercoat finish.

Im just so excited about the added performance, that looks have taken a back seat for the moment

When I look your bike amongst the other ones in the pic, it just makes look even better than what it does on its own (and that's saying something).

I think some bikes look great with rim tapes or painted versions like the CC.
It's hard to tell from the close up pic.....i'm not sure about the blue.
It definitely looks good without. Maybe leave them on for a while and see what you think the more you look at it.
