Massive lean angle like that requires full gear.

Some people will never learn!

My firends cousin (the guy whos bike I borrowed to come to the SoCal Meet) always rides with short sleeve shirts or tanktops, shorts and no gloves. I told him a million times, to wear proper gear, he never listened.

Watch him in this video as he goes down on the snake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dcGc3LyQ1Y

And yes, that was a ninja 250 he was riding, his bike was being repaired at the time. Both of his arms and hands all scraped up!

2 weeks later, I see him riding again, tank top, no gloves and shorts.

Nice clip. Good to see the squids behind him pull up lol.

I've been down twice and was geared up so i was ok both times. I commute and even in those 100F days, i still wear all my gear. They are called 'accidents' for a reason.

A mate of mine used to commute and always wore his gear. One particular day, at the last minute he couldn't drive and had to take the bike. He was in his suit pants and thought, fk it i haven't got time to change. It was the only time he didn't wear all his gear, had a crash when a car pulled out (cars mistake) and received a major gash on his leg which had to be operated on.

That's the other point. Either you go 100% squid or you go 100% gear. I am 100% gear or i don't ride because just like what happened to my mate, the 1 time you don't wear boots, jacket, gloves or whatever, you might crash, fk yourself up and regret it for the rest of your life.

I also face planted on my first down so open face helmet = face off.
