Have you tried taking out the blinker lense and bulbe and going through there?

I had it completely apart and I couldnt get the socket or anything in there to loosen it. One mirror is somewhat loose and the other can't be folded. I don't know what the previous owner did or why.

Wink

take the mirror off, see the 13mm nut on the hollow bolt with the wires going through it?
that controls the folding of the mirror...

if you remove the turn indicator lens and push the white plastic piece out....you will see that the adjusting mechanism is behind the mirror held on with double sided tape......now if you are real daring......

far as i'm going, i hate breaking mirrors...so....
