F4 on the dyno today

Hey all

Was taking a mate & his RSVR up to the Tuner i always use today - to introduce my mate to the art of getting your bikes setup properly, and having fuelling mapped.

I took my 1000R along with me for the ride, which has got some RG3's on, but I've not yet done the de-cat and added a performance filter. Even so, we put it on the Dyno, just to see how she's running.

Result was 169bhp.. seems a healthy figure with just the cans done. Fuelling's off though so as soon as I've done the other bits it's on with the PCIII and off to the Dyno again

No, although I'd recommend HM Racing to anyone.

Paul (aka Grumpy) runs DynoSpeed Developments in Essex, he's the first place I send people and they're always satisfied as he's one of the old pro's. Paul's done the fuel mapping on all my bikes (also got a GSX1400 & ZX12r, both modified), so I trust him with the MV. Aside from that it's also a nice place to visit as he's always got a few drag bikes and race teams hanging around, alongside the usual streetfighters and bits

Feel free to come along when I take the MV back up there

Im getting my bits done at xbikes, however it would be interesting to do a comparable power run on the same dyno

I took my MV to Dynospeed when I first got it for a base line run then took it back when I had decatted it but with standard cans and air filter. It made 167rwhp as i remember the decat was worth about 5 or 6 hp. Whilst it was there I tried the Race ECU on which Paul advised if I couldnt return it sell as all it did was make it run rich, sound advice it turned it to be!
Chris at X-Bikes has done all the dyno work since. The graphs are on here in the Microtec ECU threads. Its around 175 ish but Chris's dyno reads 5% low so you cant compare the 2.

Interesting. I know Paul's dyno to be good, and other bikes there that day (there was a big group of us) were all getting numbers consistent with previous runs.

Seems I got a good one then
