It's not that copy Senna that's been sitting on ebay for ages is it? That was around that price.

Dealers have the odd Senna at between 11,000 & 12,000. If you factor in the following:

1] Preparation costs for sale 500
2] Stocking interest 250
3] Advertising 200
4] Warranty 350
5] Overallowance on any part exchange 300
6] Small item rectifcation post sale 100
7] Profit 1000
8] VAT on profit 175

Then work backwards from 12,000 that is where a dealer would see it>

So around 9000 tops, as it is caveat emptor buying privately

All IMHO of course

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends ?

So when you factor in new tyres, full service and any consumables a bike sitting for almost 4 years needs its probably not much of a bargain

I used the one at MF as a reference point for my calculations. I would reckon that the one at MF stands him in at c9k, then add all of the items on my list.

You will see it drop soon as Martin always adjusts asking price on things that stand too long. Take less profit but move it along.

and no issue from me on anyone making a reasonable profit as it is a risk and reward business and dealers like MF take the risk and actually buy their stock, its not sale or return like some do.

Sory, I was referring to "used stock" and by buy it, I mean using their own money.

The bigger dealers will have a "floor plan" agreement in place with a bank to fund the purchase of new & used stock.

Forza use their own money. Also with regard to used bikes the rules of free market economy apply, i.e. you do what you want, no importer or concessionaire can dictate any terms to you.

You can buy/stock any make. It can be bought, floor plan or sale or return. Block exemption stopped these corporate bullies from pushing around independant dealers.

Long live the free market I say
