swap my 998cc 312R for a 1078 312RR ?

Hi guys

I am having a dilemma whether it is worthwhile swapping my 312R fore the 1078 312RR . it is worth my while to do it for those of you who have owned or ridden both. my dealer doesn't do a test ride.

I love my 312R and it's tuned to 161 rwhp. In the event if I swap can the moto corse full titanium system be transferred across to the 1078 312rr?

decisions decisons?? or shall i just swap to the new 2010 F4? Having sleepless nights and thats why I wrote these contents.

I believe the motocorse exhaust fits the 1078.

May I suggest you consider the Tamburini that's being offered in the for sale section?

The motocorse system will swap over perfectly.
As The_castle said, maybe consider the Tambo....but depends on how much riding you do and whether or not a collectible fits in to your ideas on that.

I once read this post on this forum which mentioned that once you equip both bikes with the microtec ecu there's not that much difference in power. I believe it was the Dutch guy who posted this comment....

You will take a hit if you sell your 312R or trade it in even worse. You say you love your 312R so all I can think of is you are looking for an increase in horse power and torque which is not all that much really. The grunt in the lower revs I understand is better with the 1078 RR but then again changing out the ECU with a Microtec from Chris at XBikes might be a better choice money wise and for rideability. New bike, different color? The question is why make the switch? It is all about money, if you have it and want a new bike do it.

After listening to everyones' advice , opinions and thoughts here is what I have done.

I kept my 312R and bought the new 2010 f4. Just collected it this evening and even with the stock exhaust it sounds good and is really nice to ride. suspension is comfortable and the engine is surprising as powerful as my tuned 312R at least up to 8000rpm. I now have the best of both worlds a Tamburini 312R and an Adrian Morton post tamburini modern clone.
