S 1000 Rr

In the first review of the BMW, the author writes:

Expect to see dynos edging towards 170bhp. And with the exception of MV's fraudulent F4, the Beemer is sure to take charge in traffic light GP and drag strip shootouts.

(any ideas why the Brits are calling the new F4 fraudulent?)

I read a blog somewhere that said that the new bike is a "scam" based on H-D simply trying to float a decoy to sell the company...which aint the case (and) Brit bike mags have been saying for years that MV "lies" about it's weight and HP...that's all

It could possibly be referring to the existing bike and its "cheater" 1078cc capacity. That was my inference from reading it.

Unfortunately we in this country are good at negativity, if a product is good, dont rave about it, find fault!! Its the doom and gloom factor.
Take what is written with a pinch of salt.

i think the fraudulent tag comes from the use of the 1078 engine and not the new 2010 model, i remember when kawasaki came out with the 636 engine that wasnt eligible for wss racing, everyone loved the engine and it beat the proper 600 engines in the tests but was called a cheat because it wasnt a proper middleweight. in fact i read a recent test on the 600 kawasaki and while favourable the tester said that he wished it had the old 636 engine!!!......................testers huh!!

i always say , you only use tests has a guide, read everyone , then test it yourself , its what YOU like in the end that makes you buy.

if i had purely gone on test reports i never would have had the pleasure of owning the mv agusta. because usually it gets very bad reports

they may refer to the SBK MV which wasn't very reliable and broke down a lot.
