It wasn't me, frankly I'd sooner spend my money on performance bits than a reg number, but what did it go for?

Plus the £80 rip off fee I suppose? It might have been bought as a Xmas pressie for a member here from a generous spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend, in which case we might not know who has it til after 25th.

Reg numbers are big business here. Something like MV 750 for example would fetch thousands of pounds if it came up for sale.

It's even worse if you live in Northern Ireland! First you pay for the plate, then because a new UK registration cannot be put on a N.I. vehicle, you have to pay a company to put it on a UK logbook AND THEN TRANSFER IT to your vehicle- this costs you! And don't forget another £80 on top for another transfer fee!

Gotta be keen, eh?

How do they come up with the pricing of these plates? A few months ago I got AG05 MVG for £245 including the £80 transfer fee. AH05 MVG was £785 including the fee. Why the big difference in price. Or is it just think of a price and try to sell it for that
