Video of first track day - ButtonWillow

I just got back from my first track day. Oh. My. God. I've been riding for 9 years, but I've never had so much fun. We went to ButtonWillow and I rode C group Saturday and B group Sunday.

MAD PROPS to B.Harris for letting me borrow his SharkSkinz - Thanks again, bro!

The bike is an 05 F41000S with BMC air filter, EBC-HH pads, and Bodis slipons / mid-pipe

Here are 4 laps from Sunday in B group:

Trying to keep up with B group riders or... trying to avoid traffic? Nice video! Track looks quite patchy but i imagine is quite smooth? ButtonWillow looks fun and fast

The patchiness is scary at first. The first few sessions of the day I was trying hard to avoid the shiny black patches because my brain was telling me they were slippery. They aren't bumpy though (except through Cotton Corners). Halfway through the first day a control rider gave me a great piece of advice: "Just pretend the entire track is the same color. It all sticks the same."

That's awesome Ryan, I'm stoked you had a good time! Looks like you'll be racing in no time!

So when's the next one?

I've got to do the baby thing over the next 6-8 weeks. Soon, though. I'm totally hooked.

Nice vid, Ryan -- glad to hear you're enjoying the track. Be careful.... it can be an addiction, and quite costly, too. From the looks of it, you did a great job for your first track day.

We'll have to put something together for the SoCal riders to enjoy a track day together.....maybe Big Willow?? Balz LOVES that track (so do I and so does Brandon, for that matter)..
