Penske Shock for F4

I've been talking to the guys at Traxxion about a Penske 8983 for my F4. Apparently Penske is telling them they only have the specs for the Brutale and not for the F4, so they would need an F4 shock or the specs for it in order to build me one.

That doesn't sound right. And aren't the shocks interchangeable between the Brutale and F4? Ohlins doesn't the Ohlins MV788 and the Sachs fit both?

I've always been under the impression that the rear shocks are the same for the F4 and the B4. I've got a Tamburini/Senna Sachs shock on my Brutale, works great.

The folks at Traxxion are telling me that more specifically, the Penske shock for the F4/Brutale uses a remote reservoir instead of the piggy back reservoir and they want to know where to mount it and the length of the connecting hose?

Anyone used a remote reservoir shock with the F4?

I have a Penske with the remote reservior on another bike. After a brief look at the F4 I can't see a place where it would mount but those guys are used to doing it. Maybe on the inside of the passenger footpeg mount. If they can figure it out the shock is definitely worth it. Maybe someone close to their location can take a bike to them. You can even have them powdercoat the spring the color you want.
