RG3's on my SPR

I just got a set of gold RG3's from Jay at Vesuvio. (nothing but good things to say about my dealings with Vesuvio) I got a deal on a slightly used and damaged set - but the damage was just a very small dint on the lip where one of the pipes meets the midpipe (otherwise good as new) - It took 2 minutes to repair with some clamps and I saved myself a few hundred Euros. After all was said and done I still got them cheaper than purchasing them from my dealer.

I already had a midpipe installed with the stock cans - the PC3 was tuned for that setup and ran great. Since installing the RG3s the bike is running even better without any adjustments. I should probably have it tuned by a professional and make sure it's happy but it's smooth as silk as is.

Shifting into second at 70mph @12k rpm and still you still have more first gear left if you wanted it.. 13.9k redline The gear ratios are nuts on this thing - Do all F4's have the same ratio's? I was the reading the SPR is geared specifically for the track and was wondering if all F4's where geared the same way? My brute is quicker off the line initially but the 40 - 100mph is just nuts fast. It's hard to describe how much I am seriously in love with this machine...

The first group of figures is for the SPR, the second for a 1000.

One of my best biking experiences ever, was riding SPR #264 with full RG3's at Broadford Raceway in 2004. Possibly the best 750 ever made. The bike was amazing...the Sound addictive !!!

It was so good, and so far out of my league price wise at the time
I'd still love one.

Enjoy

Impressive figures Stiv....but the SPR is just so involving, feels like you could ring its neck properly and it loved it.
I'm sure there's no way I could get near the 1078's limits:-)

If I could of found an SPR for the price I bought my 1000s for , I would not have hesitated and gone the SPR on a flash
These days though I do appreciate the torquey forgiving road abilities of the 1000 engine over the revvy 750's...im getting old !

Remember, this is before an 1000 was launched:-)
