Seat question

I’ve been in the market looking at F4’s. Both bikes I’ve inspected have the seat cover material pulled loose from the foam. Is this normal? The seat “looks” ok. But when you rest your hand on it, there’s no resistance when you touch the covering. Your finger/hand moves 3/4 of an inch (?) before you feel the foam base...what’s up with that?

This is exactly as you suspect. Yes, it seems to be the norm.

So...does one live with it? Or , do you’all repair the condition straight away?

It bothers me but it's a fairly quick/easy fix. Pull the seat, remove staples, 3M spray adhesive, reassemble. Tip: the thin staples go into the plastic seat easier.

Or, as I have, you can just live with it.

Seat question

Good to know it’s a common condition. Thanks guys!
I would prolly wanna fix that. Not to fond of the “puffy” seat myself, hence the inquiry!

for me, I stripped the cover off and recovered it at the same time with Alcantara, much nicer than the vinyl on an MV
