F41000 manuals etc

Hi folks, new to this site in fact new to MV's, had Ducatis for years and still lucky enough to have a 996 SPS. Anyway, Big thanks to Nick Buncy for his help at the TT. Bad start to MV ownership!!

Reason for this thread is this. I have a bike purchased from a poor fella who isnt gonna be around too long, his wife and family cant find the documents to go with the bike (owners manual and service record book) I dont feel I can insist or push for these under the circumstances. So I wondered if there was anyone out there that has (for any reason) got any of these spare? A blank service book would be ideal. The local dealer (who is struggling to get hold of a service book) stated that they have records of all services carried out on the bike and will stamp a book up for me.

Any help would be appreciated. I am of course happy to purchase the booklets.

Thanks

Theo F41000S

i didn't know there was such thing as a service book you can get stamped. mine came with the owners manual, spare key, key card, toolkit etc. But i'm not sure that a service book even exists.

I certainly have one - it's about 2" thick !!

Not sure where you could get a "spare" - although I'm sure they must exist. There are guys on this forum who will probably know the answer though.

Good luck !

New bikes in OZ are given a piece of paper to sign or stamp at services.
Not good at all. I would prefer more fanfare....
\\Like a gold embossed hard cover booklet singed by the holy father...(Claudio)

but we can't have everything

Hi Theo..

I have a few brand new " Service books" here in my office.. These books aren't available from MV anymore, as they have gone over to the CD type record nowadays.

Send me a PM with your contact details and I'll get back to you..

Welcome on board and you'll find that this is one of the best biking forums around..

Enjoy your new toy.

PS: I've still got a SPS Foggy Rep as well, but I'm thinking at the moment of exchanging it for a Moto Guzzi.. Jury is still out on that one !!!!!
