Most abused F4 that I have seen.

It is so sad that this girl has had such a rough life. This is where I wish I had money to throw away. I would buy her and restore her back to glory knowing that it would cost more than what she would be worth.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-MV-Agusta-F4/153591399258

So I have 2 garages with bikes that haven't been touched in years. When I got this the paintwork and fairings were in rough shape so I ordered an ebay set that took months to arrive from Korea if I remember correctly. I was shipped the wrong color and they looked flimsy so I sourced a factory set out of SC and had it sent to a shop for paint. That shop went out of business and I was not able to recover that set of factory fairings. In waiting to source another set of plastics other projects put this out of mind and it just sat untouched.

For the first few years I started it every few months with my other bikes, it ran well and has the sweetest sounding exhaust but as they each ran out of gas I figured it would be better to have them dry which is turning out to be a costly mistake.

This past week I put gas in this set and couldn't get it or any of them to run. I had a mobile Indy come look at them and he got this to run but not consistently. He was able to show me that the injectors are not spraying so as he believes they are fouled from running it dry as contaminants could have been in the tank. It was not a fix that he could solve for that day it would need to go into his shop. With the mechanic it would only run with starter spray or gas in the intake and a jumper box as the battery is shot also.

If your looking at this you know these bikes so scrutinize the pics there were a few mods done before I got it. The title is NJ rebuilt I didn't get around to switching out to NY. The fork seals leaked while sitting about 2 years ago so that will need addressing also. Check your state to figure out how rebuilt titles are handled as each state has specific rules on rebuilt vehicles. The title shows TMU mileage. The paint on this once beauty is shocking upon inspection, closely look at the pics there is overspray everywhere including on the vin stamp, frame, airbox etc it appears a yahoo painted the frame with spray cans!

My loss on theses, I will never get to enjoy all of them too many bikes and when I became a dad my kids eat all my free time. This is an as is sale with no warranty. Shipping if needed will be at your expense and I want the bike to be picked up within 14 days after the end of the bidding. The bike is in Nassau County NY if you need to price shipping.

Please no crazy emails, no crazy offers and no international users please. Last year I got rid of some bikes I had sitting years in CT and met some great eBayers; would love to have that same experience. I will list more bikes as I get them looked at to list what they need.

Remember this bike needs paint in my opinion, definitely a battery, definitely front fork seals and definitely injectors fixed so bid according to your budget and skill set in fixing these issues. All the parts pictured is yours to have including both sets of plastics. I believe I have additional (extra not missing) parts for this at my storage unit in CT so if I get there before the auction ends I will look to see.

Mate, that looks too dodgy to consider.
Whenever I read comments regarding an ownership title stating that “they never got round to it” I never get around to bidding....

I don’t know about the title side, but that would make a nice project for someone and satisfying too. Needs a complete strip and rebuild with certain parts sent off for repaint. Could come up nice, I don’t think it would be as bad as it looks once got into. Of course it could end up being worse depending on engine/gearbox condition but if it goes cheap, it could fetch as much in parts probably.

Agree, and the same with the old: 'I don't get time to ride it.' (Actually means there's a small problem with it but I'm not prepared to disclose it!)

I guess there will be an influx of 'slightly used, low mile' parts flooding Ebay soon

To me this would have been very tempting track bike material. I was put off by the fact the frame was painted. Why would someone paint the frame complete unless it had been repaired and if thats the case, was the frame "true", cut and welded, filled with bando? Too much of a risk buying sight unseen... especially if shipping would cost at least $1k on top of the sales price.
