07 Senna number plates are always missing.

I have owned now 2 07 Sennas, my first (1700mi) had its number plate on the triple. My second one does not (10kmi), but before acquiring my current one the 3 other sennas I looked at were also missing the plaque. After talking to a few collectors it seems they fall off over time when ridden just to be lost to the wind. I contacted MV Agusta directly and was given a response of "only one plaque per bike was made" and no duplicates are available. I fully expected this answer from MV. I replied to the email stating what the last five digits of my bike are to see if they could tell me at least what number bike I have.

Reason for starting this thread is to see if anybody has duplicated their own plaque? Had one fixed or remade?
Or if maybe we can start a vin registry to figure out if the vin# gives the chronological order of the plaque numbers?
I still have access to the 3 other sennas I did not buy, so I can get those vin numbers to help establish an order.

Any ideas from the collective here to figure this out?

And WORST WORST CASE scenario, even if we can't figure out the order, can somebody local possibly take some super hidef pictures for me of their plaque so I can at least have a "Senna" plaque made minus the number of the bike, or maybe xxx/300??
I figure I can go to my local jeweler and have a plaque made.

I can see where your coming from. I would be very keen to 'complete' my bike if I was in your shoes.
Makes me think that if I ever get one of the limited editions the first thing I will do will be to prise off the plaque and glue it on properly.

Good idea. Not in my case though. Never go fast enough for it to blow off.

If you get someone to measure and weigh the plaque (on a precious metals scale, in troy), I'd be interested to know the weight. Good luck.

I wonder if any of the plaques are stolen? it would make it easier to make a fake.

I doubt any were stolen, but if they were it would be a difficult task to replicate the bike.

So, after going to my local jeweler, we spoke about duplicating the plaque in yellow gold.
He said he would need the bike to measure out exactly the thickness he needs to work with and the exact outside diameter.
The other thing he would need is a super high definition copy of an existing one so he could get the font correct.

Only thing I need now is for MV Agusta to tell me what number my bike is. Hopefully my email back to them this morning will be answered on what number mine was. Worst case is I could have one made saying XXX/300 or 1 of 300. Something to that effect.

What is the last 6 digits of your VIN? I could take a photo of my SPR plaque.... may be the same font and all.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.
