It is not uncommon that the plastic fan blades melt on the 1000, lots of folks have fitted Muzzy Aluminium fan blades and they work fine, although if you seal them against the rad by increasing the shroud and de-bur any rough edges off the blades they will be more effective.
Unfortunately Muzzy are no longer trading, can you give us a link for where you have found suitable Aluminium fan blades?

Do you know what the nubers of the fan motor relate to ?
There is an company that still sales the alumimum fanblades for the upper and lower fan.

I believe that if you reduce the gap between fan frame and radiator the resold will be a lot better..

Michelgouw,
Do you have a link, or a company name/contact info for them?

Seen as his English isn't perfect do you think he actually meant "is there a company that still sells Aluminium fan blades" ?

Are they still trading?????????

If you do go ahead and order from them let us know how you get on

Here are some customer reviews for you from 8-9 yrs ago when we know they were trading: https://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews136155.html it is a good read.
My advice to you is always look up reviews of a company you don't know.
