Sticky Throttle F4 2006

After a week of rain, and no riding, cranked the 1000S, and the throttle began to stiffen and not return to Off. It will stay where left open.

Very strange, and I assume I am not the first one

Needs Lubrication? Needs return spring? Needs a $1,000 part?

Thought I would ask before tearing into it.

Tnx...

Simplest thing to try first, slacken off the allen bolt in the bar end weight a small amount....see if that helps at all

Thanx Merc, seems the 99% humidity somehow tightened that allen bolt in the bar end.

So it is free now, and working as good as my Honda. Hahaha

Had this exact problem on mine not long ago, was like having cruise control where you could set the speed and sit back!

That's true, like cruise control for expressway trips.

Maybe, hahaha
