MV Agusta F4 R312

What items came with the bike when new? 2 keys, owners manual and rear stand? Anyone know the cost to get an additional key made?

I'm looking at purchasing a 08' F4 R312 with 5200 miles on it. The bike appears to be in "like new" condition and has already had the water pump "upgraded" to help with cooling. I was also told fuel lines and rear hub can be problem areas on this bike. Hoping with this kind of mileage I won't have to worry about them for some time?

Thanks

The rear hub should be greased periodically and you should immediately service the fuel pump lines in the fuel tank. Those degrade over time, not mileage.

Your list of what comes with the bike is correct.

Pre-2010 do not have chipped keys so its just the cost of the blank (~$30) plus the cost to copy ($1 per side at my local locksmith).

Thanks for the replies!

I take it MV Agusta never offered a recall on the fuel lines?

What would be a ball park value on the bike I just described from a private party? Prices seem to be all over the place on these.

Were I selling my 312R, I would put it on the market for $12,000.00

AS for the fuel lines in the tank, they are a periodic maintenance item and they deteriorate over time.

It did not. Safety wire holes on various nuts/bolts and tire wear at the edges are other signs of track use, which might not necessarily be a bad thing.

Nor is the wide silver painted stripe on the rear pillion cover. Pretty sure the front carbon fender is not stock.
