Removing the rear height adjuster

My rear height adjuster is pitted from road crap and I want to remove it and give it a nice polish.

Just wondering if I need to support the top part of the bike when removing the rear height adjuster or will the bike stay in place on the rear stand?

You will have to support the rear of the bike before the rod is removed or the back end will collapse.

You'll need to find a way of lifting the back without using the rear swingarm.

gotcha Andrew, I'll use my trusty block and tackle to support the rear of the bike whilst the adjuster is removed.

Thanks.
