Smoky wiring

Talked to the shop today as to the progress. They had it on the dyno and there was smoke coming from under the tail. Long story short when I installed a turn signal canceller in the tail I grounded it to one of the ECU posts. Apparently the ECU chassis is not grounded to the frame, engine, batt etc. and the entire tail section is not grounded either. One of the silencers was just close enough to the tail and the current from the canceller went through the CF, arced across the gap between silencer and tail and burned a small spot on the underside of the tail.

My dumb for making assumptions. My luck it didn't fry the shit out of everything. So for those who install anything electric in tail don't ground it to anything attached to the tail. Run a ground to the engine like I should have done. Even if it isn't CF.

Even Gods have feet of clay. heh heh heh.

I got mine. Boy do I ever got mine.
