I'm at NJMP right now

Ran into 2 other MV Agustas out here. One of them from this forum.

Today was absolutely beautiful. 75 degrees and Sunny.

Oh and Metzeler M3 ROCK!!!!!!

I also have suspension settings that work!!! I'll post up when I get back to town tomorrow.

Funny thing.......... There was hardly anybody in the Novice group and my friend was control riding so I hung out with the novices even though I registered for Intermediate. I had a blast. At one point, I had the track all to myself. I friggin' rode in the novice group today. lol. Plus I wanted to get video footage of the other two MVs on track.

Update.

Got back yesterday. Turned out to be a great weekend.

Here is my setup info.

I'm 225 without gear. About 238 with gear.

Forks
Compression 5 clicks out from full stiff
Rebound 7 Clicks out from full stiff
Preload 1/4 distance out from full stiff (I didn't have a proper adjuster so I just measured how many times I could turn it
Ride Height - standard

This stiff setup did cause chatter (stopping from anywhere more than 140mph) under hard braking but it was the only way I could prevent excessive dive while braking, even after lowering rear ride height. To compensate, I ran 30 psi on the front Metzeler M3 (32 is recommended min). It didn't go away but it helped some.

Rear
Slow Speed Compression - 3 clicks up from standard
High Speed Compression - 5 clicks up from standard
Rebound - Standard (It's the firm setting in the manual. I can't remember it off the top of my head
Preload - Max
Ride Height - Lowest setting
Rear Tire pressure - 34psi (36 recommended min)

Bike ran excellent. I have some vid that I will post up after I convert it. It took me pretty much all weekend to get really comfortable with the powerband since I've been riding a V-Twin racebike for the past few years.

There were 10 people riding in the novice group all weekend so I rode there and had the track to myself. They were so spread out that I only had to pass roughly 2-3 guys every lap. Plus the guys in Int. kept crashing. lol I may decide to get some sharkskinz and ride A group with this club down the road but for right now I'm happy with where I was at. My friends were control riding and it was cool to hang with them with an open track. I'm used to passing beginners respectfully because Absolute Cycle used to run an open track configuration and the beginners would be on track with the racers at the same time. Turned out to be pretty safe too and the novices learned quicker that way IMHO.

The metzeler M3s are great tires. In 75 degree weather and after 2 laps to get them up to temp, they grip like race tires. I got a teeeny weeeny bit of movement from the rear in transistions from right to left but nowhere near as scary as some reviews that I heard (I'm willing to bet that this had more to do with my suspension than anything). I absolutely loved them!!! I would estimate that I can get 4 trackdays out of them (with modest street miles in between obviously). Excellent tire. Save your money and give them a try. Seriously! You may never use a DOT Race again unless it's 90 degrees out.

I'll do some editing and put up a little vid within the next week or two.

What surprised me the most was how well my body held up. My 999 racebike was 410 lbs wet full of fuel. My MV is bone stock and weighs 480lbs wet. hahahahaha I couldn't feel the weight once we got moving. It all disappeared.

I knew you would love the track with the MV. I am looking forward to getting out there as well this weekend. i am looking forward to the pics and the video from your day. Out of curiosity, is your friend going to be CR'ing this weekend, i would love to know someone out there, and especially if they can get a clear track!

You live more in 5 minutes on a bike like this, going
flat out, than most people live in a lifetime.

I went with NYSBC. The guys at TPM I know only by face and I'm really cool with Glen but they are pretty strict about group assignements.

Since NYSBC is a smaller club (New Mangement btw), there was hardly anyone out on both days, they allowed more flexibility.

This was the first day. I was still working out the suspension and getting comfortable.

Not too much action but I promise to get you guys some action vids before the season is out.

Planning to hit this track again along with Roebling Road in GA.
