Agip 10W-60..

Dears,

Ever since I changed to the recommended oil I feel the clutch shifts more 'rough' and I cant find N as easy as I used to. The change was very noticeable from day one.

I read a million threads about Oils etc etc and I always try to stick to the suggested one but I wonder has anyone else noticed that? Bike is new with 2.500km on clock so to me no other reason (for not having smooth gear change) is evident (e.g. wear of plates/discs).

Thanks in advance
Phil

I didn't notice a change but the gearbox has improved over time. Neutral still hard to find but not so many false neutrals and missed gears when riding the bike now. I changed to Agip 10w60 after the service at 600 miles. Done 4300 miles now.

I have noticed something similiar , I started using Castrol R4 superbike oil and . One day when changing my oil I have noticed some differences between the several bottles of Castrol R4 (viscosity wise) and so I have decided to go with Agip 10W-60 . My bike shifting has noticably changed. (not for the better) Next oil change I will go back to Castrol R4 .

No complains with the Motul 300V 15W50, recommended by the factory as well.

Been using Agip 10-60 since new. Dealer used Motul 10-50 at 600 mile first service. I went back to Agip for all subsequent changes. over 10K miles now. No complaints from me. Transmission and clutch are perfect.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Do you mean 15w - 50? That's why ATD used in both my services that were done there.

Yeah...probably. Anyway, it went to the recyclers at next service.

Try the Igol Propuls Racing 10w-50. It worked for me, the gear changes are much smoother, and I can even find neutral now!
