F4 Need assistance. Fans stay on.

Got a bit overzealous power washing the engine last week, and now when I turn the ignition on the fans start with a cold motor - everything else works perfectly. Any clues on what I should check or other diagnostic suggestions?

check your electrical connections particularly around the temperature sensor in the radiator, though i'm hopeing someone with a bit more experience will chime in

The last time I encountered fans running all the time it was the latch relay.

But I like the snohman's suggestion too.

The fan relay is located on the right frame tube slightly aft of the radiator overflow hose.

The relay temp sensor is located on the front left side of the engine next to the thermostat housing.

I would look at both as a possibility due to PRESSURE WASHING. How could you? You can disconnect the wiring to the temp sensor and dry it inside. I believe ditto for the relay. My money's on the sensor.

I got mine. Boy do I ever got mine.

Snohman, CAG, and Lee:

Thank you for the help. The problem was a thin layer of corrosion on the left relay temp sensor socket blades. No moisture present in any of electrics. All were masked prior to cleaning.

Glad you got it. 9 out of 10 are usually something simple like that.
