Senna HID lights question

Hey guys

So took the the old girl out for a quick ride to a friend's house. Was getting dark and was going through a particularly dark bit of road - no street lights and boom the headlight died!!! At 60 mph and all of a sudden everything going pitch dark with trees on both sides it's a good thing I know the road and I know where the high beam switch is lol. Anyway so I usually don't ride at night but sometimes it gets to be unavoidable. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on HID kits or something or even regular but brighter light bulbs etc you would recommend. I was googling around and saw something like XETRONIC DBXH3-MOTOCYL 4.5 star reviews and h3 bulb

but I don't even understand the options in it let alone order it lol! I was gonna spec the 6000k color and Non-Canbus and no extension cable and 60 watt version. Anyway consider me a newbie and recommend me something please!

Cheers!

Is the low beam a 55w H7? Anyone know the high beam specs off the top of their head?

Low beam on our bikes is H3. I picked up a pair of 8k hid bulbs for 9 bucks off ebay about 4 years ago and still have the spare. I've had to replace the ballast once. I think there might be some sponsors here that sell HID conversion kits. The 8k I got is nice. A tinge of blue; not overbearing. Less blue than the Porsche headlamps. I believe the 07 and 08 have the same headlight fixture and I can see well when I leave the city and find myself in the sticks at night.

I also put in 2 T10 SMD LED wedge bulbs for the parking lights to match the HID low beams.

High beam I'm pretty sure is 9005 but I don't use HID for high as I use it to flash. Doesn't do me any good as HID takes time to warm up.

Hope this helps,
Art

check out DDM tuning. They sell a very good kit for about $80. The biggest problem with the HID on the F4 is where to put the ballast. I used the front mounting screw on the turn signal electrical panel.

Ah low beam is an H3? Dang I thought it was an H7 read somewhere. Alright I will order H3 then. I will order a spare for the high beam in that spec just to be safe!

Cheers and thanks for the reply! Definitely helps!

I was able to get the low beam replaced. I went with this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And for the high beam I got this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Anyone have recommendations for the little parking lights and how to swap those out too? That yellow light is just looking really bad especially after swapping out the low beam light.

From my thread titled Toy Story:

The parking lights are wedge type bulbs. Here's what I installed: PIAA T-10 H520 6K LED bulbs

So to get to the high beam light I think I found where it is. I got the cover off but not sure what to do next. It looks like there's a thing metal clip thing possibly? Does that need to be pried off? Just like the main beam light? Or is it just a counterclockwise twist and the whole thing will come off? And then take the bulb off the connector?

I took the headlight out because I was doing other things.Did you look at the thread titled Toy Story? It is all shown and discussed in there.

There are spring clips that have to be released, then the bulb just drops in, then the spring clip is latched. The headlight does not have to be removed to do this.
