Mv Agusta F4 1000 2005

Hi to all

I had a problem with my bike and asked for some advice and did some research...

So at the end it was the ECU

So i ordered a new one

My next question is :

( MY BIKE still has the old ECU )

Two weeks ago i had a problem with my bike cause it started to malfunction like something was wrong with the sparkplugs so i removed all of them and the problem was located in piston # 2

Piston order :

From left to right

( 1 ) ( 2 ) ( 3 ) ( 4 )

Sparkplug went black ( bad fuel burning i guess )
So i replaced the old ones with new laser iridium sparkplugs

Went for a ride and PUMMM there goes again with the same problem so i bought a new set of sparkplugs and replaced them all

Went for another ride and PUMMM same problem again

The question is :

IS THIS RELATED TO THE ECU

No, it's not your ECU, it's your EBS relay.
Look in the Maintenance section for 4-cylinder bikes please Erik, same place where you posted your previous thread about your ignition not working.

Ok Erik.
I will move your thread to the Maintenance section, and then see if I can find some other threads on this very common fault from the F4 1000S bikes.

Do you know what I mean when I talk about the EBS relay, it's a little black relay on the l/h side of the engine, almost near the radiator. This little relay operates the valve which operates the Engine Braking System (EBS).
When this relay goes old and shitty, it's causes the bike to start running on 3 cylinders, like your bike is doing, people then relocate the relay to a cooler position, but also put some insulation around the relay to keep it from cooking.
