bar end question

so my 750 came with short bar ends.

I noticed the 1000's use slightly longer bar ends
They're also easier to find on eBay...

any reason they're longer? To offset more vibration? Or would they be ok on my 750?

Thanks

Yes, more vibration elimination and the later bikes had longer bars too, but diameter is similiar.
