How come my F41000R Bullet proof?

I have had my 2007 Mv Agusta F41000R for 5-6 years. Right off I did Mitchy hub , racing water pump , Feber RADIATOR metal fans, silicone hoses stainless steel oil filter up graded front fork cartriddes rear shock , mircotec tuner ect ect.... BUT NEVER HAD ANY OF THE PROBLEMS RUMORED ABOUT Mv agustas . I ride it almost daily , took to track days ect ect . Its been the picture of durability ? Is it the add ons/upgrades, regular maintenance or are MV Motorcycles JUST A GOOD BIKE BUT BECAUSE THE GENERAL PUBLIC THINK RICH SNOOTY PEOPLE RIDE AN MV THEY GET NIT PICKED.... I HAVE OR HAVE OWNED ALL BRANDS JAPANESE AND EURO NONE HAVE BEEN MORE DURABLE.

Honestly the only bike problems I have is with my odd ball/unique performance builds an that's to be expected.

Every brand has it's problems and I have never considered MV to be a problem plagued brand. I have had 4 different MVs and never once had a problem. Sure they run hot but so do all other high performance brands

And the kickstand...

But yes, I agree. And I also prefer to work on them over any other bike. They were made with forethought (most of it anyway), which is nice. I'm not Japanese sized, so working on Hondas are not as easy.

Nope......

Listened to them with my stethoscope .......

Go over to the AF1 Aprilia Forum RSVR/Factory section.......yes, it's me same name

Member Felix da Cat has 140,000kms and hasn't done the valves.......

You going to change the rear hub out at 22,500mi?......like the Factory says?

Me neither

Spark plugs go 100,000 mi you change yours at 7,500mi????

How about your chain? Factory says 7,500mi.......

Mines at 32,000mi my Aprilia RSVR went 30,000mi

Just a thought

What do you listen for with the stethoscope? My gramps used a screwdriver against the engine block and held the handle to his ear form what my dad told me. What is your reference to differentiate the sounds?

Wink ?

I should have said"mechanic's stethoscope"

It has a metal diaphragm to amplify sounds

I have had my F4 5 years.
Absolutely the most trouble free and fun motorcycle.
And hands down the easiest to work on when needed.
