F4 Hugger

Evening All,
Can some one out there confirm that this hugger is from an early F4? The owner says its off his F4 1000 but it is not the same shape where it fits the swinging arm like others I have seen. This one appears to screw to a top horizontal flat surface of the swinging arm whilst the ones I have seen screw to the inner vertical surface directly in front of the tire?

Doesn't look right to me. The F4 mounting points are in the vertical inside face of the swinger.

What we've got here, is failure to communicate.

The owner is a bullshitter.
Not an MV hugger at all mate, I'm surprised you even had to ask mate.
F4 and B4 from that era share the same swing-arm, ALL of them in the 1st generation.
Just look at pictures of any MV from 1999 though 2009 and you'll see right away that the hugger is from another brand, or suited to another brand.

Thanks Guys. You have confirmed what I had strong suspicions about. I'm a newbie to this and thought maybe I am missing something, best check. The mounting is not too dis-similar to my sons Ducati Monster hugger.
