Got my dream bike!

I've been drooling over the F4 AGO ever since I saw the first picture and never thought prices would drop enough for me to pick one up. This one has been on display at the Guy Webster Italian motorcycle museum in Ojai for the past few years and they decided to sell it. Hope it remains as reliable as it is pretty. I've been riding BMWs for many years and this is my first excursion in to Italian motorcycles. Look forward to using this forum to learn as much as I can about this bike and try to do the basic maintenance myself. Anyone know of a mechanic on the central California coast area for when I need the help? San Luis Obispo county does not have a MV Agusta dealership and taking the bike to San Fran or LA for service is going to be a real drag.

My first order of business is going to be attaching battery tender leads....how do I get to the battery? This is quite different from my 1977 R100s.

Welcome to the forum plexiform, that is a great looking bike.
First things first, go to my website and download the manuals, there are workshop and engine manuals available, study them.
If the bikes been standing all these years I imagine you will need to replace all liquids, but most of all probably the battery.

TAKE NOTE !!!, the battery goes in on it's side, (-) towards the tank. Please do not get this wrong.

You will probably have to replace fuel lines as well, if they had any E10 shit fuel in there.

In this section is a good amount of tips and info on solutions to common problems, it might look all doom and gloom but it's really only a basic maintenance procedures which we have simplified or changed as we learnt more of these bikes.

There are some dealers in your part of the world, I'm not sure how far Moto Forza is from you.

Enjoy the reading, ask all you want.

Welcome. Great bike. Like Donsy said look at the manuals on his website. The battery is under the seat. Use your key in the lock on the left side below the seat to release the latch. Works best sometime to place some pressure on the tail section by the tail lights when doing this.

Welcome and superb bike!

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.
