F4 Corse SP 15 on eBay

What do you make of this bike gents?

The seller is new (only 1 previous transaction), and while my first thought was that this was a scam, it might not be so.

He states that it's a Tamburini. Of course it is not, it is a Special Parts "Corse" kitted bike, an SP 15, since it is a 1+1. But included in the photos in his ad is the "Tamburini" text as painted on the SP bodywork, so he may think that is what he has.

He also mistakenly states that his bike has magnesium frame plates and swingarm, when it clearly has standard 2007 cast aluminum pieces in the photos. It might be that he believes that, since that is what he's read and thinks he has.

Thoughts? Is it worth much more than a standard '07 F4 1+1 I wonder?

It is a 07 F4R. Just like what mine use to look like. I am not sure how much comes with the SP kit. Everything looks stock except the fairing and seat. I do not see any carbon fiber and there is no magnesium.

I told him in a nice way that he does not have a Tamburini and sorry if he purchased this bike under that impression. Here is the reply.

Thank you very much for the information, I'm not educated on these bikes whatsoever and you're EXACTLY right. I'm going on what I was told.. what would you say this bike is worth??

Either a very good scammer or greatly misinformed when he purchased it.

I was about to ask about this bike. I knew it wasn't a tambo but didn't know it was a parts kit bike. Still pretty cool to see one pop up. Bet he is wishing it was the higher spec

The Sennas and Agos seem to command about a 50% premium over the standard F4. If I was looking for a corse, if it had the basic plastic bodywork, that's what I would consider a fair price. These come up so seldom, maybe somebody wants it bad enough to go higher. My opinion.

Yes, it started obviously as an '07 F4 1+1.

And before posting this I took another look at the thread about the Special Parts bike in the General section. This photo of the spec sheet for the SP 14 and 15 bikes is interesting and informative. The wheels and additional carbon that you might expect the kit to come with were apparently options. Click on it to make it full size and readable-
