That seems expensive. I bought a 2005 F4 1000 last fall. Had 100km on her. Paid $8500 CAD. That's $6200USD lol

Its amazing these mileages, seems its a totally different driving culture alltogether. Never seen a 10 year old bike in here on that kinda mileage, its always like 50-60k.

Blue and silver version too! Well...was. I crashed her. Put $5000 worth of carbon fibre this fall. Good as new!

A standard? Not a special model?

In the states they are really rare and are usually only owned by guys who have them as decor or have 40 bikes (like Randy) so they only occasionally make it into the rotation.

Mine was 10 years old with 350 miles when I bought it (owner was the former).

Yes, standard red and silver model with arrow pipes and upgraded Brembos with 5k miles. I even emailed the seller to see if it was some weird thing, but he said it was all legit. $15,601

Me too

Late to chime in here, but yeah, it was nice to see a nice one go for that figure.

The link won't last more than a few months, but here's the bike we're talking about-

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-MV-Agus...vip=true&rt=nc

The other one that also surprised me was this very nice and very rare 2009 F4 1078 312 RR that went for $18,701-

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-MV-Agus...vip=true&rt=nc

*Might* be we're seeing pricing bottom out on nice examples of the first gen bikes.

John

PS- Daren, did you see the '08 312 R in Portland CL? Is it close to you?

Hey John, good to hear from you. I didn't see that bike. Generally I just look on Ebay.

Ryan Stewart. They are really rare in here too, we have 5 million people in Finland. And think theres less than fifteen F4 1000 around. I have never seen one on the road in here. Theres the odd Brutale and quite many 750cc F4 models though. And one thing to the mileage might be the fact that you guys have traffic, and spend lot of driving time going slowly. We on the other hand havent got a traffic, so 300-500 km a day is normal for me on the riding season. My 1000cc Gixxer has seen 104k...
