Something may be amiss

Found this on the sump plug magnet when I dropped the oil in my 750 F4
Does anybody have a clue where it may be from. It wasn't making any funny noises and there was nothing else on the magnet
Cheers Higgy

Not got any funny noises or anything obvious but I was thinking something in the gearbox rather than the engine but never having had one in bits I haven't a clue

A couple of guesses:

Locating or dowel pin for case halves or clutch cover

Drift pin for a shift fork

Does look like a roll pin.....where are there any roll pins in the engine??

Wonder if this dislodged from a tool on the assembly line, going unnoticed until the tool malfunctioned sometime later.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Been wrecking my memory Ed. I cant think of one place, but I haven't gone to look at a motor yet, too busy and I still have to prep my bike for Sunday's race.
