Fire.....sigh

Hey all,

Had the worste day today, while moving my bike exploded in flames from the tail end of the bike don't know yet if it was a wiring issue + extreme heat from the exaust or something else. Have the dealership and cagiva looking into it to find out what could have caused a fire doubt that i will get the entire story but will keep you informed. talked to someone today that said it might have started in the computer and chain reacted from there..... Either way THIS SUCKS.......

First of all , I hope everyone’s okay. Second , what’s everyone thinking here? Does the ECU carry enough current to start a fire? Seems unlikely. Did the pipes ignite? The packing in the pipe maybe? Some type of fuel vapor build up ,set off by a back pressure flame?

Not cool Brother. Were you riding or pushing? How'd you extinguish it and how much damage did it do? Makes one wonder if a mini fire extinguisher should be mounted somewhere readily available.

I got mine. Boy do I ever got mine.

No nothing from the Aust supplier, and no word from Italy. They just replaced the whole back end.
