Diff between the F4 1000 & F4 1000s

Can some one please explain to me the diff between the regular f4 1000 and the "s" model. i have been doing a search on the web and can seem to find anything. I even went on MV home page and they dont even list the F4 1000 on there previous models, only the "s" model. What is up with that. Please help.

I'm pretty sure you are talking the same bike there, there have have been 3 model 1000's from MV (without Ltd's or specials) 1000S, 1000R, and 1000 312R, that's it I think

MV's all gone now, still have a soft spot for MV's, waiting for MV to tick all my boxes again.
Previously (and about 40 others)748SP, S4, S4R, 98R1, 2000 F4, F41000S, F41000R, 08R1, 09R1, S1000RR, RSV4 Factory aPRC in Garage now

I could be wrong, but as far as i know the F41000 is the same thing as the F41000s. The 's' is the first 1000 model, before they went to the "R", "312" and now "312RR". Hope that helps.

The S is for Strada, as opposed the the Oro, the original F4 750; Same thing with the Brutale S, came after the Oro.

When the F4 1000 came out, first was the Ago, then the Strada (F4 1000S).

I saw a post on here about a 910 Brutale for sale being the S model, vs the regular '910'; There is no such thing.

ALL MV's have a designation following the number, be it 750 or 1000 or the super long F4 1000 312RR, although I guess the CC has the longest name, if you spell it out and count characters.

Thus far, all base models have been given the 'S' designation, though that appears to not be the cases for now, with the 989 being called an 'R' (though is is actually a lower spec'd bike than the 910S ), and the Brutale 1078RR, F4 1000R 312, F4 1078RR 312.

MV is always about multiplicity and confusion, and uses more appendages than M-B.

Must be caused by confusion with Ducati, where the "S" models are spec up from standard, followed by "R' models for race.....just my thoughts.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.
