Clear Alternatives Taillight Questions

Has anyone installed the Clear Alternatives taillight with the red lens, and if so, how is it for brightness compared to the stock taillight?

Has anybody compared the clear lens vs the red lens option in a side-by-side test to see if one is brighter (more visible) to the other in daylight.

I've been thinking about getting one because I get tired of folks telling me my taillight is not working, or they almost ran up my ass because they didn't notce the brake light.

Thanks.

Just ordered one for the MV and one for the 848...with the red lenses. I will post up once i get them installed this weekend probably.

Reason i got them was to clean up the tail a bit and get rid of that nasty plastic thing hanging on there for the plate.

I have the clear taillight lens installed and my friend (who is normally following me) says the tail light is brighter then the original, and he was amazed at how bright the brake light was considering the lens is clear.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I put the smoke ones on mine and I love 'em. Not sure if they're brighter cause I never had the stock ones that was the first mod to the bike. If your are as dim as you say than these are definately brighter.

Thanks for all the feedback, folks. I'm still curious to know how the clear lens compares with the red lens in terms of daytime visibility. I like having a red lens, but if the clear is brighter, well...

Ciao

I put in the clear lens in mine. Brighter than the stockers. The smoke is about the same brightness as the stocker from installing them on customer bikes.
