$17,495 Good price or not?

New here and have a couple of questions. Is $17,495 a good price for a new '07 F4 1000R 1+1? After, everything it comes out to about $19,500. Please also let me know if the $19,500 sounds in line.

I have read on here that several people have sold their motorcycles because they are just too fast. I even had a sales guy that sold both MV Agusta's and Ducati's tell me that the MV might be a little too powerful. If I wanted my wife to ride the MV sometimes is there a way to supress the power of the above mentioned motorcycle?

Good price.

Too powerful? Back up a step. What do you want the bike for? If you're racing, it won't be too powerful. If you're not, get a Brutale. More comfortable, more versatile, runs cooler, every bit the handler (up to serious race track speeds, anyway) ...

You can reduce the power via the right hand.

I think the $17,495 is a good price (not sure how the OTD price breaks down).

As for too powerful, it's really more about judgment than power. It's not like an on/off switch that's either fully closed or full throttle.

19500 to me is a good OTD price. I paid about that plus a free service, and I got to uncrate it and everything. It just boils down to do you like the price and do you like who you are buying it from.

Use your head

there is never enough power just don't push it and know when to stop. The bike has ay more than you can ever use.
