Converting to GP Shift Pattern

I would like to know if the shift pattern on a Tambo can be changed to the GP style (1up and 5 down) and if so what's required. Also, although I am not yet familiar, if need be can the throw be shortened. For example- on a Duc 1098 it's a simple matter of rotating the arm on the gearbox 180 degrees and to shorten the throw using an arm from a Duc Multistrada. Anyone done this and if so how?
