Is there any difference in the 05 or 06

I am looking to pick one of these up and wanted to know if there are any problems I need to be on the look out for?

Melting fan blades

Some people are unhappy with the brakes, but I think it can be fixed with a new master cylinder or brake pads

No changes between the 05 and 06 mechanically. The 07 R had some changes, and the 08 312R even more, but the 05 and 06 are identical, so you should buy an 05 like mine in the for sale section!!!

To be honest with you the prices that the dealers in the NE are giving me is less for a brand new one. It seems there is a financing deal as well as some sort of cash to dealer to make these vanish and at the prices I am seeing they should go quick.

i would test how desperate they are to move product and try and squeeze out a set of pipes but still, that is a good deal.
