2002 Senna - Question for Owners

I have a 2002 Senna and a 2008 R312 and noticed today that the R312 has metal mesh inserts inside the 2 slots at the rear of the tailpiece, but on the Senna these slots are open to the inside of the tailpiece (no inserts). I never noticed that before, and now that I have am wondering whether that is correct for the Senna or is mine simply missing the mesh inserts?

Can anyone with a 2002 Senna confirm whether their bike has inserts in the tailpiece slots?

Thanks,

The mesh nonsense started with the 1000 Ago / Tamburini.
None of the 750's had mesh insets and so the F4 1000S.

My EVO 3 F4 750 has black mesh in the front fairing (nose cone) but no mesh anywhere else.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I like the look of the Senna tail without mesh inserts anyway!

Cheers,
