Oil Pressure Indicator does not go away

I'm facing a problem with my 2010 MV Agusta F4 where the Oil Pressure indicator is always on and the panel doesn't come up. The motorcycle hasn't been riden for a while coz of my knee injury. The battery went dead (wasn't the right one for the motorcycle anyway). Got a new one and installed it, the panel doesn't come up, the oil pressure indicator is a constant red. The oil level indicator shows more than half present when the bike is straightened out. Any thoughts or ideas or experiences with such a case? Any comments in this matter would help a great deal.

P.S. Predicting that I will not be riding for a while and with the drastic weather changes I added a recommended ethanol stabilizer to the fuel and let it run for a while to get it through the system.
