Emma's visit to the doctor

Those of you that made Gapalicious 2018 know that Emma fell over through no fault of her own. She was standing still on the side of the road and the idiot that was on her decided to put his foot down where there was no ground to put your foot down. Didn't seem all that much...cracked the mirror housing and front fairing, lost the screw to the brake reservoir. (thanks Chuck and Arthur) What are we talking here...maybe $1500? Not so fast chisel chest. A little more damage than originally thought. The total to put her back to her unspoiled beauty is $7500. Dang these things are expensive. Parts are ordered. I don't usually ride her much between now and March so no hurry. At least I'll be getting rid of that small chip in the front fairing that has bugged the crap out of me for the last year.

so a random dumdum decided to just take a seat on your bike without asking and a tip over costs 7500?
Maybe time for a kawayamasuki. Those things are mostly ugly AF anyways so who cares about a cracked fairing there.

jezus....

It busted a tab off the headlight housing so that's almost $1900 right there. The dealer also went through her with a fine tooth comb and added anything that looked remotely replaceable like the carbon front fender, the exhaust shield, the grip and grip end, brake lever, even the lower fairing.

I hope you double checked everything just so that they didn't try to pull a fast one on you.

I appreciate your concern Andrew. Thank you. The insurance is paying and has already signed off on everything so I'm confident there's no fast one being pulled here. I trust my dealer completely and they actually added a few things I wouldn't have even thought of but they know how anal I am about her appearance. They have always been great to me and Emma and even leave her inside parked in front of the service manager's office 24/7. Something they only do for a very few select bikes.
