The mapping, Normal, Sport or Rain affect a few parameters namely;
  • Max Torque
  • RPM Limiter
  • Throttle Mapping

The Traction Control is an independent setting, along with ABS etc.

Hope that helps

Yep. 1 is mine and 8 is max.

If you put the lap timer on then you can control TC on the fly which works well for experimentation.

I hope I am not gate crashing somebody else's topic, but I notice you have the ECU studio software. I have an F4 with open exhaust (Termignoni) and I don't think the previous owner has upgraded the ECU. Is the software that comes with the ECU Studio package installed easily by a layman or is it a dealer only job.

Any advice much appreciated

Yep, if you can use a PC and can follow instructions then yes you can do it. If you are competent at bike maintainance then it will be fine.

I'm happy to talk you through it as any first flash is always frightening, or we can screen share. I'm just working on an R1 that's in Spain with remote access to teams laptop.

Or I'm happy to help, we are a small family so if you fancy a ride I can flash it here or at yours if the date is mutually convienient.

What year is your F4?

Hi Many thanks, member Jhollis said you were very helpful.

I have a 2016 RR, I plan to buy the package this month, and have been treading water really as I do not know which rear sets to buy. I understand I can update the QS and blipper at a later date so thats probably what I will do. I also have 2017 Tuono and I find the QS and blipper a tad hit and miss, hence not really in a rush for that aspect at the moment.

Your help very much appreciated and thanks to hollis

Rearsets, I've used PP Tuning alot. If you go for the reverse shifting option you get a shift rod rather than a direct lever. This can be run in normal or reverse shift.

A shift rod is a real help if you want to go blipper.
