F4 RR & RC Australia Recall (Brakes)

Hi all, see the link below for a recall on Brembo brake master cylinder (2nd Gen F4).

Not sure how well known this one is. Was sent to me by a friend and does not apply to mine.

Global recall on a batch of Brembo master cylinders. Mostly Ducatis affected, but also Aprilia and MV.

Brembo decided to make the piston out of a plastic material replacing the zinc normally used. The pistons can break under extreme load (All failures have been in race track use). Going (gone) back to the metal piston.

25 MV Agusta affected in the USA....many more Ducatis.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

So I contacted my local dealer about the recall and they are refusing to service my bike due to what they say is a lack of dealer support.
Has anyone else in Canada had the warranty work done on their brakes yet?

It's extremely frustrating that the place I bought my bike now says they won't service it or any other MV's they sell. Only one other dealer in my province which is a few hours away. Going to contact them next.

If they are still a MV Agusta franchised dealer they are required by law to service your bike for warranty and especially safety recall repairs.

You should advise MV USA (I believe they handle all of North America) that this dealer is refusing to perform the safety recall.

The Canadian government would be very interested as well, contact whatever your version of the NHTSA is.

If they have given up their MV franchise then they cannot perform the recall repair anyway.....so you have to go to whomever is your closest dealer.

Good luck.
