F4RR 2015 ECU Advice

Hey All,

I am looking at potentially purchasing a 2015 F4RR (selling my 2011 F4R) and I asked the seller to tell me what version of firmware the ECU is running. They sent me the below picture, can anyone help in telling me is this the latest update and what does this fix etc? is the up/down QS supposed to work on this year/model?

Many thanks in advance.

James

I have the 2016 and the upshift should work. Although I have heard they are finicky. My bike didn't even come with one....too long a story. The QS that does come on the bike (assuming it has it), I don't believe will ever give you the auto blip on downshift feature because it is not the EAS 2.0 sensor.

I ended up buying a kit part from Evolution bike that came with the EAS 2.0 and a new map that the dealer will have to upload to the ECU. The new map will enable the auto blip feature.

I had mine out today and it worked pretty good. The kit part looks pretty nice too IMO but it is pricey.

It seems like the earlier adopters had a less than clean cut interface, but I can confirm that the version I received was very self intuitive and the help files that were provided were more than enough to get me comfortable navigating the UI and changing settings. I will caveat it with I haven't done a thorough dive on the fuel maps yet, but I have started with messing with the blipper cut time maps and they look very similar and the fuel map tables look familiar to the fuel map tables when I had my car tuned so they should work just fine.

THREAD REVIVE

I have recently purchased an 2015 F4RR which I have been told has had the ecu tuned with ECU studio.

The bike has a full termignoni exhaust, aftermarket rear sets with GP shift.

I believe that the workshop the bike went to had the ECU studio software and not the previous owner.

My question is how can I run a diagnostic on the bike without going to MV (as there system will delete the tune)

I have no previous history/knowledge with bike ecuís and tuning.

2013 MV Agusta F3 800 (written off)

Ok so in short, you need ecustudio. Contact Luca at ECU studio and he can help, you need the software, interface and dongle.

The licence is for the ECU not the kit, so anyone or company with ECU studio will be able to access the system.

I would have thought that MV can still read the diagnostics, provided they don't write to the ECU.
